-   ABOUT US  -

Once upon a time, in the bustling streets of the Upper West Side in New York City, a small Italian restaurant came to life, infusing the neighborhood with the aromas of rich tomato sauce, freshly baked focaccia, and the unmistakable essence of authentic Italian cuisine. This hidden gem was the result of a remarkable journey and a meeting of two culinary souls.

The restaurant's new proprietor Marco Proietti, was no stranger to the world of gastronomy. With 35 years of experience in the restaurant industry, he had honed his skills, refined his palate, and gathered a wealth of knowledge along the way. With each passing year, his passion for food grew stronger, and it was time to embark on a new adventure of his own.

As fate would have it, he stumbled upon a quaint take-away place owned by Luigi, a renowned restaurateur who had spent 15 glorious years serving the community with his culinary delights. Recognizing the opportunity to build upon Luigi's foundation, Marco decided to purchase the establishment, vowing to preserve its legacy while infusing it with his own expertise and creativity.

The transformation began, as Marco poured his heart and soul into the restaurant, redesigning the space with warm colors and rustic accents that echoed the charm of Italian trattorias. He scoured the market for only the finest ingredients, olive oil, cheeses, and meats that would transport his customers to the picturesque hillsides of Tuscany and the charming streets of Rome.

His menu was a carefully curated collection of traditional Italian dishes, handed down through generations, each prepared with love and meticulous attention to detail. Handmade pasta adorned with exquisite sauces, the best of the land and the sea, and decadent desserts that indulged the senses—all showcased the essence of Italian culinary artistry.

Word quickly spread throughout the neighborhood, as locals, and tourists, flocked to experience this culinary haven. Each evening, the restaurant hummed with vibrant conversations, laughter, and the clinking of wine glasses, creating an atmosphere that embodied the heart and soul of Italy.

Marco's dedication to the craft, paired with Luigi's enduring spirit, proved to be a recipe for success. Their shared love for food united them in a gastronomic symphony, breathing new life into the little eatery that had once been Luigi's pride and joy.

And so, the small Italian restaurant on the Upper West Side became a haven for food enthusiasts, a place where memories were made, and where the aroma of freshly baked bread intertwined with the dreams and aspirations of its passionate owners. It stood as a testament to the power of experience, knowledge, and unwavering dedication—a place where culinary magic danced on plates, bringing joy, satisfaction, and a taste of Italy to all who entered its doors.
